They always use the same types of barrels, oak that contained sherry and they add softness to the whole. The distillery produces rum exclusively from molasses and uses two types of stills: pot stills and single column stills. The stills operate under a vacuum, which allows distillation at a lower temperature (the lower pressure requires less energy). All rums are bottled without added sugar and if an age is indicated, it refers to the youngest rum in the blend.
Foursquare Distillery has two main product lines, one called Doorly's and the other Foursquare. Foursquare bottles experimental editions of limited production. Aging is used in ex-madeira, exoporto and excalvados. Doorly's is the backbone of the company. They are the best-selling rums in Barbados and follow a precise recipe.
