Doorly's 14 years Gold Barbados 70cl.

Several characteristic elements of the distillery are combined in the production of Doorly's 14 years. It is produced from sugar cane molasses and fermentation transforms these sugars into alcohol. Two types of distillates are used, Pot still or copper alembic, which provides body, aromatic richness and spicy notes, and column still or continuous vacuum column, which provides elegance and softness. Subsequently, both distillates are mixed to achieve the final profile typical of Foursquare.

The rum ages for 14 years in Barbados, where the tropical climate accelerates the interaction with the wood. Most of it matures in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Another part is made in Madeira wine barrels that provide notes of ripe fruit, red fruits and chocolate.

It has a deep amber color with golden reflections.

Nose:

Aromas of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak are appreciated. Notes of ripe tropical fruits, cocoa and tobacco. The influence of the Madeira barrel provides nuances of plum, raisins and candied fruits.

Mouth:

It has a dry but very balanced entry with flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla and toasted coconut. There are hints of ripe fruit accompanied by spices such as cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg. Long and persistent finish with hints of dark chocolate, sweet spices and slightly dry.
