Bellevoye Noir is the intensely smoky and full-bodied expression within the range of French Triple Malt whiskeys created by Jean Moueix and Alexandre Sirech. It is specifically designed for lovers of powerful malts with character, combining French elegance with refined peat. It is made by expertly blending the finest Single Malt peated whiskeys produced in France. Jean Moueix and Alexandre Sirech are two recognized figures in the high-end wine and spirits sector in France, also linked to prestigious Bordeaux houses such as Pétrus and Duclot. Both decided to combine their experience and passion to create a brand that would revolutionize the French whiskey market. Although the barley base whiskeys come from different regions of France, the company and its development and refining center are headquartered in the region of Charentes, in western France.

Winemaking
The production of Bellevoye Noir follows the house's high-end philosophy, but adapted to create a whiskey with an intensely smoky and structured character, combining French tradition with the art of treating peat and new wood. 100% French Malted Barley: It is based exclusively on national barley grown in France. Unlike the brand's main versions, the base whiskeys of this edition are made with peat-smoked malted barley, providing that distinctive profile of ash and iodized notes from the beginning. Select Single Malts are combined with peat from different producing regions in France.
Each of the base whiskeys matures independently for a period of 5 to 10 years in oak barrels within their respective distilleries of origin. This prolonged aging allows the smoky character to soften and integrate deeply into the structure of the distillate.
The components are moved to the brand's main cellars in Charentes, where master blenders carry out the precise assembly, seeking the perfect balance between the power of the peat, the richness of the malt and general harmony.
After assembly, the whiskey rests an additional 9 to 12 months in new fine-grain French oak barrels. These barrels undergo an artisanal process of slow toasting at low temperature, exclusively designed to provide silky tannins and spicy notes that complement and enhance the smoky background without masking it.
Finally, the distillate is reduced with pure spring water until it reaches 43% ABV, a higher alcohol content designed to give the whiskey the necessary presence, body and length in the mouth before final bottling.
Tasting notes

Intense aged gold with deep hues and amber highlights.
Nose:
Complex and powerful. Evokes notes of cold ash, toasted wood, espresso and marine/iodinated touches. It is complemented by subtle sweet spices such as cinnamon, clove and a background of licorice.
Mouth:
Intense attack but with a broad, creamy and silky texture. It displays flavors of dried fruits, dark chocolate, saline touches that provide freshness and a very well integrated smoky peat with elegant tannins. Long, persistent and round, prolonging the smoky nuances with a touch of spice and a refined echo of licorice.
Food pairing
It is recommended to enjoy it alone at room temperature in a tulip-type glass, allowing the smoke and spices to open gradually.
