Special edition of the Tenjaku range that seeks to combine the elegant style of Japanese whiskey with the aromatic richness of sherry barrels. It is not an excessively powerful or smoky whiskey; Its philosophy focuses on balance, softness and harmony of flavors.
Tenjaku was born in the city of Fuefuki, in a region located west of Mount Fuji. Area known for its vineyards and for the extraordinary quality of its groundwater, filtered for centuries by volcanic rock from the Misaka mountain range. This low-mineralized water is one of the elements that define the smooth character of whiskey.
Tenjaku means "lark", a bird that in Japan symbolizes the arrival of spring. The brand uses this image to convey delicacy and balance.

Winemaking
This whiskey is a Pure Malt, which means that it is made only with single malt whiskeys, without adding grain.
This special edition mixes malts with approximate ages of 3, 5, 8 and 12 years, which are subsequently finished for at least 6 months in sherry barrels before bottling. This tuning provides greater depth and aromatic complexity.
It is bottled with an alcohol content of 43%, enough to maintain intensity without losing softness. The company highlights its blending process and use of water from the region, but the exact origin composition of all base whiskeys has not always been fully detailed publicly.
Tasting notes

Bright amber color with copper reflections.
Nose:
Aromas of raisins, dried figs and ripe plums. Notes of honey, vanilla and caramel. Touches of sweet wood and red fruits.
Mouth:
Very silky entry with balanced sweetness. Flavors of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and candied orange. Elegant oak without excess tannins. Medium to long finish where ripe fruits and soft spices persist. Light notes of cocoa and a warm memory of the sherry barrel.
