Description
PREPARATION
Saint James Heritage is a blend of rums from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica and Barbados; which is matured in oak barrels for 18 to 24 months, which gives it notes of vanilla and hazelnut. Martinique is the only French overseas department that benefits from an A.O.C. for its rum. This designation obtained in 1996 reflects the unique character of “agricole” rum from Martinique, expressing the close link between production, terroir and generations of skill and knowledge. Saint James rum is produced by fermenting pure cane juice followed by distillation in Creole columns. This method, recognized as A.O.C Martinique rum, gives Saint James rums a multitude of aromas, with subtle fruity bouquets perfectly adapted to aging in oak barrels. No sweetening agents are allowed.
