PREPARATION
Mount Gay Black Barrel is made from a mixture of intense and aromatic rums distilled in a traditional column and double return pot. Its maturation process is carried out in American whiskey barrels and ends in deeply charred ex-Bourbon barrels for 6 months. Mount Gay Rum is made from 3 essential ingredients: coral filtered water, natural free-range yeast married to a proprietary heirloom strain and molasses; through 3 essential stages: fermentation, distillation, maturation and mixing. Its distillation is carried out using a pot still and a column still, the first produces intense aromas from the double distillation and the column still creates a rum with a notably soft flavor and character from a single distillate. Both distillations are mixed and matured. Creating the quality and legacy of rum that only Mount Gay can be.
TASTING

Nose: Notes of wood and butter balanced with nuts and spices.
Mouth: Medium and hot body, bold and aromatic with notes of gingerbread, lychee and toffee with a long finish.
