Muri Veteres 2017 is the first Monastrell wine in the history of Bodegas Carchelo, which has been producing quality wines in Jumilla since the late 80s. Thanks to its aging for 12 months in cubic barrels and at least 12 months in the bottle, it has an elegant complexity, with spicy nuances. It fits perfectly with traditional dishes, game meat and medium or long-ripened cheeses. Prizes and scores:

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Monastrell.
To make the Muri Veteres 2017 wine, a manual harvest is carried out in 12 kg boxes. Maceration, alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in 1,900 liter cubic French oak barrels. Aged for 12 months in 1,900-liter cubic barrels and 225-liter French oak barrels and a minimum of 12 months in the bottle.
TASTING
View:
Deep and vivid ruby color, with dense and pigmented tears.
Nose:
Aromas of ripe black fruit, aromatic and balsamic herbs along with mineral, cocoa and roasted notes.
Mouth:
The character of the Monastrell grape is reflected. Subtle spicy nuances that give it an elegant complexity. With a concentrated, tasty, fresh palate and a well-balanced noble tannin that gives us a long and pleasant mineral finish.
