It is important to note thatMossburn is not a traditional distillery, but rather an independent bottler, blender and creator of whiskey. The company Mossburn Distillers & Ble was founded by a team with decades of experience in the Scotch whiskey industry. Although the Mossburn brand began marketing its own bottlings in 2017.
The Mossburn Signature Casks range of whiskeys shows the typical characteristics of regional malts from Scotland. They are classic expressions of their origin, with the added influence of our exclusive barrels, designed specifically to enhance the characteristics we look for in each of these exceptional malts.
These whiskeys were first aged in American oak casks before initial blending, and then matured for a second period in our custom-made Mossburn casks. These casks were built to our specifications, or Cask Bill, and each of the malts has its own: Cask Bill No. 1 for the Island and Cask Bill No. 2 for Speyside.

Winemaking
The process begins with the selection of different single malt Scotch whiskeys. Each whiskey is individually tasted to assess its quality, structure and aging potential before forming. Once the different malts have been selected, blending is carried out, that is, the union of the different single malts. Unlike a conventional blended whiskey, in this case no grain whiskey is incorporated.
After assembly, the whiskey continues its aging in American oak barrels, where the different components begin to integrate. The most innovative feature of this whiskey is its second aging in the exclusive barrels designed by Mossburn. Instead of using a traditional barrel, Mossburn makes hybrid barrels using a specific combination of different types of wood, known as Cask Bill.
In the Mossburn Signature Cask Bill No. 2, wood is not simply an aging vessel, but an essential element of the production. This double maturation technique makes Cask Bill No. 2 a modern interpretation of the traditional Speyside style, respecting the elegant and fruity character of the original malts while adding a richness and depth that distinguishes this whiskey within the Mossburn Signature Casks range.

It presents an attractive intense gold with amber reflections, clean and bright
Nose:
The first impression is fresh and delicate. Aromas of flower honey, vanilla, pear, apple and peach stand out. Deeper layers include raisins, figs, almonds and walnuts. Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, with a subtle touch of cocoa and toasted oak.
Mouth:
The entry is soft, silky and enveloping, with a creamy texture that coats the palate. You can appreciate flavors of sweet malt, honey, vanilla and caramel. Ripe fruits, raisins and figs are also present. Hints of cinnamon, cloves and milk chocolate. The finish is long, warm and refined, with a pleasant persistence.
