Mossburn Signature Cask Bill nº1 Island "Smoke & Spice" 70cl. Case

The process begins with traditional maturation in American oak barrels that previously contained bourbon. Subsequently, the whiskey passes into barrels specially built by Mossburn, made with staves from First Fill Bourbon barrels, which provide sweetness, vanilla and notes of caramel and bottoms (heads) of intensely toasted virgin European oak, responsible for adding complexity, spices and a delicate smoky character.

This method is called Cask Bill No. 1 – Smoke & Spice, because it seeks precisely to highlight those two characteristics: smoke and spices.

Although it incorporates peat-influenced malts, it is not intended to compete with the great smoky whiskeys of Islay. Its philosophy is to offer a more elegant and balanced profile, where the smoke accompanies the rest of the aromas without imposing itself.

Nose:

Aromas of fine smoke, vanilla, honey, wild flowers, sea breeze and light notes of pepper appear.

Mouth:

It is silky, with flavors of shortbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramelized raisins, vanilla and a perfectly integrated delicate smoke. The finish is long, warm and persistent, with hints of orange marmalade, toasted rye, sweet spices and an elegant smoky note
