PREPARATION

Suze has been made following its original recipe since 1889 through traditional production and is the result of a subtle balance between fresh gentian and aromatic plants. When the gentian has been collected, it is washed, cut and left to macerate in alcohol for at least a year. Gentian juice is extracted by pressing its roots. Subsequently, this juice is distilled following a process that has been specially designed to make Suze and that gives its touch to the product. Next comes the final fusion stage, when the gentian is combined with other aromatics. Since 1889, Suze has excelled in the art of combining gentian with other botanicals to create a range of aromatic bitters.

TASTING

View: Bright golden amber and smooth, shiny bronze body.

Nose: Intense and harmonious, with a predominance of gentian, and fruity aromas of citrus and apricots and notes of vanilla surrounded by a touch of caramel.

Mouth: Delicate flavor, as a result of all these mixtures, with a gentian root flavor, a slight non-aggressive bitterness that, little by little, rounds out. The finish, as a perfect synthesis of the softness and roundness of the bitter flavor that the gentian leaves clearly expressed.
