PREPARATION

Ypióca Oro is made from the distillate of fermented, uncrystallized sugar cane juice, which is aged in oak barrels for at least two years, providing flavor and color. The beginnings of the Ypióca brand began in 1843 when Darío Telles decided to focus his attention on the distillation of sugar cane instead of cultivating it. It was in 1846 when the first cachaça was distilled and when Ypioca, an indigenous name that means red earth, was founded. Its first distillations were done in ceramic stills, then iron ones were added and finally local balsam wood barrels, the idea of which came from one of the heirs of the company, the grandson of the first owner.

TASTING

Nose: Pleasant smoky touches on the nose, toasted nuts, dried fruits, honey and cedar are added.

Mouth: Dry flavor with fruity touches that balance it and notes of vanilla, raisins, tobacco and spices. Long and sweet finish on the palate, with rich touches of caramel.
