PREPARATION

Built in 1967 as a small compact distillery, GlenAllachie was the fourth distillery designed by William Delme-Evans. The entire whiskey making process was gravity fed and, combined with unusual horizontal condensers, a triumph of engineering and design. 50 years later, the benefits are reaped with The GlenAllachie 25 Years Whiskey, from a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso barrels specially selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker.
One of Scotland's few independently owned and managed distilleries, The GlenAllachie is run by industry veteran Billy Walker, who has almost 50 years' experience in whisky. Located at the foot of Ben Rinnes, the distillery is in the heart of Speyside, with a focus on quality over quantity. Their passionate team, spanning 16 on-site warehouses with over 50,000 barrels, has complete control of the maturation process from end to end.

Nose:
Sweet spices, jams and sultanas balanced in total harmony.

Mouth:
Lashes of raisins, pine cones and dark chocolate, followed by layers of Christmas cake, jam and sweet spices.
