Enrique Mendoza Finca Xaconero 2018 75cl.
Enrique Mendoza Finca They say that it rained so much between the months of September and October that the lands remained dammed until January, hence its name, “The Lands of Xarco de Enero”. It is a blend of native Mediterranean varieties (Monastrell, Shiraz and Garnacha) that reflects its mountains, climate, sun and character. It is perfect to accompany cheeses with aromatic herbs, sardines and Iberian pork.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 90% Monastrell, 5% Shiraz and 5% Fine Garnacha.
The grape, grown in an environmentally sustainable way, with which the Enrique Mendoza Finca Xaconero 2018 red wine was made comes from Finca El Chaconero in Villena, in the area called Cabezo de la Virgen. In the production process, fermentation was carried out in small stainless steel tanks at low temperature (25°C) with indigenous yeasts from their own vineyard. A lot of whole grain and little extraction in the pumping over, seeking balance and harmony. The post-fermentation maceration was 5 days and the aging period was 12 months in medium-light toasted Allier French oak barrels, to fully respect the fruit in the wine.
TASTING
View: High layer wine. Ruby red color with garnet flashes.
Nose: In the olfactory phase it transports us to the fresh Mediterranean with rosemary, rockrose, lavender, sage and that beautiful refreshing aroma of laurel and pine.
Mouth: Powerful and at the same time harmonious, it has many fine and sweet tannins that will make it live for many years and a barrel that elegantly accompanies all the weight of the fruit. Great aftertaste, long and harmonious, where you can appreciate, at the same time, power and elegance.
Recommended temperature: 14-16ºC.
