Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc. The Chateau Franc Pipeau vineyard dates back to 1680. The Bertrand family has maintained their passion for vines and wine for five generations. Jacques Bertrand and his sons are now building on that know-how with a combination of modernity and tradition. Strict selection plus shelling, green harvesting and leaf thinning provide adequate yield control and optimize quality. The grapes are picked by hand before being selected. Its vinification is in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature followed by 15 months. It is aged in oak barrels.
TASTING
View: A very beautiful, bright, intense ruby color.
Nose: It has a very intense and complex nose marked by fresh fruit and slightly woody notes.
Mouth: The attack is frank and the wine is balanced in the mouth with honeyed tannins devoid of any aggressiveness.
