It all starts with high-quality sugar cane molasses, rich in fermentable sugars. The quality of the molasses is essential to obtain a clean and aromatic distillate.

The molasses is diluted with purified water and selected yeasts are added. For several days, these transform the sugars into alcohol and generate aromatic compounds that will provide fruity and floral notes to the rum.

The fermented must is distilled to obtain a highly pure alcohol, preserving part of the aromas developed during fermentation. The rum is aged for a minimum of 9 years in a combination of American white oak barrels that have previously held bourbon, Scotch whiskey and brandy.

The tropical climate of Costa Rica plays a key role: warm temperatures accelerate the exchange between rum and wood, achieving a more intense evolution than in cold climates and developing great aromatic richness in less time.

After maturation, the master rum makers carefully select the rums from the different barrels and assemble them to achieve a constant aromatic profile.

Before bottling, the rum is slowly reduced with demineralized water until it reaches 40%. Finally, it is filtered to guarantee its clarity and bottled, preserving all its softness and elegance.

Nose:

Intense and elegant aromas of vanilla and caramel. Notes of honey and toffee. Delicate nuances of toasted oak, cocoa, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Mouth:

Soft, silky and perfectly balanced entry. Medium body with a pleasant creamy sensation where vanilla, caramel and honey flavors predominate. The palate is round, with a very harmonious integration. Long, warm and persistent finish where memories of vanilla, oak, toasted nuts and a light touch of cocoa and sweet spices linger.
