Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, from the most suitable vineyards in the 19 municipalities of Franciacorta.
The harvest period for the grapes used in Berlucchi Cuvée Imperiale Brut cava runs from the second decade of August to the first of September. A gentle and progressive pressing of the clusters is carried out with fractionation of the musts and alcoholic fermentation in steel vats. The preparation of the cuvée is carried out in the spring following the harvest, with the addition of 10% of reserve wines from the best vintages. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and then the refining takes place in contact with its own yeasts for at least 18 months, followed by another 2 months after disgorging. Its aging is 18 months.
