Description
PREPARATION
The Juan Haurie y Sobrinos Solera Gran Reserva brandy is obtained after aging in oak barrels that have been previously used for other Sherry wines.
Juan Haurie was a chemical winemaker by profession and an expert in making wines with the Palomino grape, which belonged to the Domecq family. The story goes that one day he received an order from an English merchant, three containers of a particular sherry wine. When the order was ready to be delivered, the client canceled it and Juan was forced to put all that sherry wine back into the cellar's solera. After years, he tried it and the evolution surprised him, so he decided to distill it to give it softness, which is how he discovered the production of brandy. In homage to this illustrious family member, the descendants have decided to name this exceptional brandy after him.
TASTING
View: Dark mahogany color, shiny, transparent and with golden sparkles.
Nose: Intense aroma with notes of vanilla, raisins, tobacco, dried fruits and elegant wood.
Mouth: Soft, enveloping and with easily distinguishable nuances. Persistent and velvety. Very elegant.
