Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Grenache, Syrah and Tempranillo.
For the production of Borsao Crianza Selección 2017 red wine the fermentation of each variety is carried out separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 24-28ºC with a peak of 32ºC. The maceration period lasts 15 days in total and the wine is aged for 10 months in French (90%) and American (10%) Bordeaux oak barrels. In the 19th century, private wineries were established around Veruela, in Aragon. In the 1950s, due to economic difficulties, small groups of farmers joined forces to found cooperatives, which currently form the majority of theD.O. Campo de Borja. The origin of Bodegas Borsao dates back to 1958, the year in which the winery was purchased from an individual and the Borja Cooperative was founded. A few years later, in 2001, the Pozuelo and Tabuenca cooperatives joined the Borja cooperative, contributing their human resources and their vineyards, giving rise to Bodegas Borsao.
