Beauchamp Single Malt 70cl.

Beauchamp Single Malt 70cl.

Beauchamp Single Malt is a 100% French whiskey made by the group Les Bienheureux in the emblematic Bercloux Distillery, located on the border between Charente and Charente-Maritime. It shares the roots in the terroir and the technical rigor of the distillery, standing out for its finishing in local barrels.

The production of whiskeys such as Beauchamp and Bercloux is intrinsically linked to the group's vision Les Bienheureux, founded by Jean Moueix and Alexandre Sirech. This project has revitalized the spirits sector in France, betting on modernity without losing respect for the artisanal tradition of the Cognac region. Bercloux stands out for being one of the few distilleries in French territory that has its own brewing plant (brasserie) integrated. This gives them complete and absolute control over the quality of the grain, the mash and the initial fermentation before the liquid goes to the stills.

Winemaking

Uses local barley grown directly in the fields adjacent to the distillery or by associated farmers in the area. Thanks to the fact that the distillery has its own brewing infrastructure, the entire process is supervised from the beginning. It spends an aging period of more than three years in French oak barrels. traditional. Its last months of maturation take place in old barrels that contained Pineau des Charentes (the characteristic fortified wine of the region's liqueur made with grape must and cognac), which gives it a fruity imprint and a very distinctive profile. It is bottled without cold filtering to preserve as much as possible the texture and richness of its aromatic compounds.

One of the distillery's greatest technical attractions is its diversity of distillation equipment, as it houses stills different: Stupfler® stills, andemblematic for their high-precision column system that allows you to obtain extremely pure, clean spirits rich in aromatic nuances in a single pass and traditional Charentais stills, direct heirs of the local cognac tradition, which allow you to give the distillate greater density, unctuous texture and a more corpulent character. This combination allows the technical team to modulate with great precision the exact profile they are looking for for each barrel.
