Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Garnacha With a very limited production of about 1,000 bottles, this red wine El Tossal de la Salut exemplifies the artisanal method of the Abadia de Poblet winery. A method that recovers the processes that the monks of the Cistercian Order from Burgundy used for centuries and which seeks maximum varietal and terroir expressiveness; and that is part of the philosophy of making each and every one of the wines. The El Tossal de la Salut grapes were harvested on October 18, 2015, crushed and vatted in a cement tank where fermentation took place with 100% of the stems as it is a place where it can mature at the same rate as the skin and seeds. Fermented with natural, or native, yeasts, this wine spent 23 days in contact with the skins, alternating “pissage” and pumping over according to daily tasting.
TASTING

Cherry red color.
Nose:
High intensity, with notes of spices, incense and red fruit.
Mouth:
In the mouth it is fresh, juicy, elegant and with a long finish.
