Woodford Double Oaked 1L. - Case
An innovative approach to two-barrel bourbon creates the rich, colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Woodford is one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Kentucky. Located on the oldest distilling site in Kentucky (Woodford) where Elijah Pepper began making whiskey in 1812. It was on these same hallowed grounds that years later Master Distiller James Christopher Crow perfected his whiskey making methods, which today have become common practice, including the implementation of sour mash in fermentation.

Description
PREPARATION
The process begins with Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which is matured in new, handcrafted white oak barrels; The bourbon is then uniquely matured a second time in another new barrel. The second barrel is deeply toasted before light charring, creating unique flavors of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, a smooth, full-bodied bourbon with a long, rich finish. It gets its water from a nearby spring, Glen Creek, with pure crystalline water. Among the cereals they use, corn predominates (legally bourbon must contain 51% corn), although in the Woodford Reserve they reach 72% corn, which is complemented by 10% malted barley and 18% rye; The latter provides a spicy touch and lengthens its persistence. The fermentation carried out by these cereals lasts twice as long as usual, about 6 days, which contributes fruity notes to the whiskey.
