PREPARATION

Whyte & Mackay is the result of a blend of 41 different whiskeys. The key to its flavor comes from the blends as well as the aging time in barrels. Its production process begins with choosing the best aged malt and grain whiskeys from two of Scotland's most famous distilling regions, Highland and Speyside. Both are aged separately. Most blended whiskeys stop at this stage, but Whyte and Mackay add an extra step: maturation sees the marriage of these two different whiskeys in sherry casks.
In 1844, James Whyte and Charles Mackay founded a distillery in the docks of Glasgow with the aim of using the best whiskeys from Scotland to create the smoothest and most distinctive Blend Scotch Whiskey. More than 160 years later, Whyte & Mackay maintains the same pioneering spirit of its founders.

TASTING

View:
Intense mahogany gold color with touches of bright amber.

Nose:
Smooth with warm and inviting reflections of marzipan, Manuka honey, creamy caramel and Demerara sugar, followed by whispers of glazed pineapple, cider apples and praline chocolate.

Mouth:
It begins with smooth and stimulating flavors of tropical fruits, rosehip syrup, caramelized orange segments and macaroni and finishes with peaches in syrup, licorice and Seville jam.
