Description
PREPARATION
The Citadelle 6C Vodka is made by hand from French wheat of the Capet variety, grown in the Beauce plains, in central France, with a special method and devised by Maison Ferrand of 6 distillations, created in 1780. For distillation, the grain devoid of bran is used, which gives finesse to this vodka, since that bran produces methanol and other elements that affect the taste of the distillate. The first five distillations are done using column stills, and the remainder is done in a small Charentais copper still. In this last distillation, spices are added and it is subsequently filtered through charcoal with micro-oxygenation. This entire laborious process gives Citadelle 6C vodka the purity and finesse necessary to produce a distillate of the highest quality. It owes its name to the reference to the chemical element carbon in Mendeleev's periodic table of elements and which is used for filtering and which gives it its purity and quality.
