Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Mencia.
The Merayo 2019 pink wine is made from Mencía grapes grown in clay soil on mid-hill slopes, at an altitude of 550 meters; through cold film maceration for 18 hours and fermentation at a controlled temperature between 15 and 17º C, with prior stabilization and bottling. Production in 2019 was 4,000 bottles. Bodegas y Viñedos Merayo was born in 2010 from the experience of Pedro Merayo, founder of the Winery, in the wine sector and his knowledge and love for El Bierzo, recovering his roots, since until the 80s the family owned one of the most important wineries in the area and, resuming wine production in the winery located on the family property of Finca Miralmonte, showing a strong commitment to the production of high quality wines with varieties native.
TASTING
View: Bright, clean and bright raspberry red color.
Nose: Frank aroma, of good intensity. Fresh and sweet, very varietal, the sensations of red fruit, strawberry and raspberry and a slight floral sensation dominate.
Mouth: Fresh and sweet, notes of red fruits, strawberry and raspberry reappear. It is dense, with good acidity and medium persistence.
