PRODUCTION
Villa Ascenti Gin is made from Tuscan juniper berries and carefully selected local raw materials such as Moscato grapes, thyme, and fresh mint just a few hours after the harvest, which gives it a flavor characteristic of the region. In particular, Moscato grapes from Piedmont vineyards are harvested in August and September at the best time and then undergo three distillations. During the final distillation, the grapes are left to infuse with Tuscan juniper berries in the 1970s Frilli copper still, achieving a gin in which juniper is balanced with the flavor of fresh mint, thyme, and the subtle sweetness of Moscato grape in a perfect whole.
TASTING
Appearance: Clean and bright.
Nose: On the nose, the touch of juniper combined with aromatic herbs is pleasantly fresh.
Palate: Smooth and fruity flavor, savory notes of juniper, a velvety gin, slightly sweet.
