Vieille France Blanc de Noir Brut Charles de Cazanove 75cl.

Vieille France Blanc de Noir Brut Charles de Cazanove 75cl.

Vieille France means "old France" and is, to say the least, a fitting name for one of the most prestigious champagne houses. The roots of Vieille France date back to the 1860s, when Léon Lebrun decided to start making champagne in Avize, on the Côte des Blancs. The place and the town would later be classified as Grand Cru. Heritage, history and family became the pillars of Vieille France, as well as innovation and new ideas. One of the first ideas was to create an exceptional champagne by blending wines from the most prestigious terroirs. Vieille France was developed under the ownership of the Lebrun family for 135 years and is one of the last great champagne brands still family-owned. The responsible winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, is the family's fourth-generation winemaker and one of the big names in Champagne. In 2017 he was named "Winemaker of the Year" and, among other things, inducted into the "Champagne Hall of Fame". All crops are certified according to "Haute Valeur Environemental", which is a wide-ranging organic certification controlled by the French agricultural agency. To highlight its originality, Vieille France is bottled in the so-called "apple bottle", common in the 18th century.   Awards and recognitions:

Description

PREPARATION

Grapes: 100% Pinot noir

Vinification is mainly carried out in stainless steel vats, but when necessary, the wines spend time in oak barrels to acquire that wonderful fullness that the barrels provide. The wines take time to age in the traditional champagne chalk cellar. Vieille France Blanc de Noir is a very tasty black champagne and the result of the skillful craftsmanship of Maison Vieille France that matures on lees for at least 4 years.
