Tomatin Single Malt 1976 Warehouse nº6 – Case and Cover 70cl.
"Tomatin" translates to "Hill Juniper Bush" as juniper wood does not emit smoke while burning and has long been a favorite of illicit distillers who must keep their practice secret. Today, a building known locally as "The Old Laird's House" still remains on the site of the current distillery and it is in its Warehouse No. 6 that the Tomatin 1976 rests. Patience brings reward and forty-five years after its distillation, master distiller Graham Eunson has declared the 1976 "extraordinary." Of all the incredible whiskeys he has tasted in over 30 years in the industry, this one stands out among them all.

Description
PREPARATION
Filled on December 7, 1976, this whiskey was later distinguished as special by Master Distiller Tomatin. Resting in Warehouse 6, this exquisite distillate slowly matured in hand-selected traditional oak barrels, developing subtle natural fruit nuances. More than four and a half decades of careful waiting on the part of the custodians of the barrels have allowed this exclusive expression to acquire great complexity, while presenting extraordinary youth and vitality, an exceptional balance.
TASTING
View:
Deep brown color with reddish nuances.
Nose:
Perfect harmony, the aromas of strawberry liqueur, tropical fruits and toasted coconut are balanced with an exotic spicy touch.
