The Glenrothes Manse Reserve 70cl. - Case
The Glenrothes Manse Reserve is an excellent Scotch whiskey, which owes its name to the Manse, the Presbyterian rectory on Manse Brae hill, now called Rothes House, and where the eighth generation of the family that founded the distillery lives. It is a smooth whiskey with fruity notes, apple and pear along with vanilla cream and a touch of spices. A smooth and rich expression of the distillery style. Awards and recognitions:

Description
PREPARATION
To make The Glenrothes Manse Reserve the whiskey is aged mainly in ex-Bourbon barrels, with the incorporation of a smaller portion from barrels that previously contained Sherry. The Glenrothes is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to have its own water source for alcohol production, processing and reduction, right on the estate, a natural river dividing it in two. The liquor is carefully nurtured in the distillery's tall copper stills for much longer than is strictly necessary. Slow distillation provides a lighter, fruitier spirit, removing more impurities and allowing the production of a more delicate tasting spirit. Most of The Glenrothes is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks, which are carefully produced in Jerez, Spain. The color of this whiskey is derived only from its aging, never added as an afterthought. All The Glenrothes whiskey emerges from its barrels with an authentic color.
