Kah Reposado 70cl.
Tequila Kah is a salute to life, designed to pay reverence and honor to Mexico, its culture and traditions. “KAH” translates as “life” in the ancient Mayan language, and Day of the Dead is, in fact, a celebration of lives lived, a 3,000-year-old traditional Mesoamerican holiday in memory of deceased loved ones. The multi-day festival brings together family and friends to pray and remember those they have lost. The customs are based on the belief that mourning and sadness are an insult to the deceased, and therefore, the life they lived should be celebrated with the food, drink and activities they enjoyed in life. While the bottle captures the enduring tradition, the tequila inside is worthy of the celebration. The design of the Kah Tequila Reposado bottle is inspired by the Day of the Dead celebrations that take place in parts of Peru. A dance is performed for Satan with long crucifixes hanging upwards, and Satan is believed to lead this dance himself! During this ritual in honor of the Devil, tequila is poured on the ground as an offering to appease him and keep people safe.

PREPARATION
Every step of the Kah Tequila making process, from preparing the agave to filling it into exceptional custom-made bottles, is done in the traditional way, with great passion and craftsmanship. Tequila is distilled from a specific variety of agave plant: the Weber blue agave. Only the heart of the plant (pineapple) that accumulates sugars is used for the production of tequila. At harvest time the pineapple weighs between 70 kg (110 lbs) and 110 kg (240 lbs). After harvesting, the pineapples are cut into 2 or 4 pieces and slowly baked for approximately 9 hours, then crushed to extract their sweet juice. Yeast is added to extracted agave juice and poured into large stainless steel tanks for several days to ferment, resulting in a low-alcohol must. This must is distilled twice and to obtain Kah Reposado it matures for more than 2 months in American oak barrels, where it acquires subtle notes of vanilla and caramel that complement the intense flavor of the agave.
