Sericis Cepas Viejas Monastrell is ideal to accompany red meats, game meats, traditional stews, spicy dishes and highly matured strong cheeses. “Sericis”, silky in Latin. This wine honors the ancient House of Silk for its name and smooth character. It is made with Monastrell grapes and aged in new French oak barrels for a minimum of 14 months. Prizes:

Description
PREPARATION
Grape: 100% Monastrell. Sericis Cepas Viejas Monastrell is harvested manually. Destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes. Pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature for 3-4 days, addition of selected yeasts controlling the fermentation at a maximum temperature of 26oC. Discover after 21 days in maceration. Aging for a minimum of 14 months in new French oak barrels. The Alicante Protected Designation of Origin is located on the Spanish east coast, and throughout the year it enjoys a warm climate and the beneficial influence of the Mediterranean. The climate has a continental character in the mountainous areas of the interior. Wine Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
TASTING
View: Intense red with purple tones.
Nose: Aroma of high intensity, highlighting the very ripe fruit on a background of toasted oak of great elegance.
Mouth: Fleshy, complex, with an unctuous palate, balanced tannins and a roasted finish
Consumption temperature: 16º-18º
