Description
PREPARATION
Sericis Cepas Viejas Bobal is made exclusively from grapes selected from old, low-production vines. This wine demonstrates the quality potential of Bobal, a native grape from Utiel-Requena. Destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes, followed by a long maceration at a controlled temperature and using an exclusive pumping over system. Malolactic fermentation. Aged in French oak barrels for a minimum of eight months. Utiel-Requena Protected Designation of Origin. Continental climate with Mediterranean influences. Large variations in day and night temperatures. Average annual temperature: 13ºC. Limestone-clay soils. Wine suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
TASTING
View: Intense cherry red with light brick trim.
Nose: Deep and complex, reminiscent of forest berries on a balsamic background of toffee and vanilla.
Mouth: Fresh, dense and fleshy, with round tannins and a very long aftertaste.
Consumption temperature: 16º-18º
