Segura Viudas Brut Vintage Gran Reserva 75cl.

PREPARATION

Grapes: Macabeo and Parellada.

Segura Viudas Brut Vintage Gran Reserva is only made in certain vintages, when the base wines will be able to age for a long time in the bottle, since only the best white wines can withstand more than 40 months of aging on their lees. It is therefore a "millesimé", 100% grapes from a single harvest. The must comes from the gentlest pressing of the grapes, only 50% of the must is used, the so-called flower must, as it is the most aromatic and delicate. The coupage is made with 12 different wines from Macabeo and Parellada, which ferment separately and at low temperatures to obtain their maximum varietal identity. The first and second fermentation is carried out with our own selected yeasts, which provide structure, softness in the mouth, more complex aromas (honey, nuts, flowers) and an elegant and persistent bubble. To further intensify the feeling of complexity of this cava, the expedition liqueur is made with white wines that have fermented and aged in American and French oak barrels for 5 months, without added sugar, it is therefore a Brut Nature.

TASTING

View: Straw yellow color with golden reflections with fine bubbles that highlight its brightness and form a light cord on the surface of the glass.

Nose: Aromas of good intensity and complexity. Notes of ripe fruit (apple) and citrus tones appear on an elegant background of nuts and bakery provided by its correct aging with yeast.

Mouth: In the mouth it is tasty, fresh and harmonious, with a good fruity presence; It runs creamily and ends with the excellent taste sensations of a great aged cava.
