Scala Dei Pla dels Àngels is a rosé wine from the D.O.Q. Priorat made by Celler Scala Dei, in the municipality of La Morera del Montsant (Tarragona). Celler Scala Dei is a historic Priorat winery. In 1878, the first bottles of Priorat wine came out of its facilities, heading to the Universal Exhibition in Paris. Almost a century later, in 1973, Scala Dei went from marketing bulk wine to producing bottled wines.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Red Garnacha Scala Dei Pla dels Àngels is a rosé wine made with Grenache Noir from young and old vines from the high areas of Scala Dei, on clay soils that preserve the acidity and therefore the freshness of the grapes during the harvest. To preserve the aromatic characteristics of Grenache, the grapes are cooled upon arrival at the winery to 2ºC, drained, and after 3 hours of maceration with the skins, bleeding from the tank begins to achieve this pale but attractive color. Subsequently, the fermentation is treated as if it were a white wine. After fermentation, it rests for about 4 months in tanks until it is time to bottle.
TASTING
View:
Pale pink, with bluish reflections and very attractive.
Nose:
Very fragrant on the nose, crisp red fruits with aniseed notes.
Mouth:
It is a fresh, agile and balanced wine. In the mouth it is intense and refreshing.
