PREPARATION
Viejo de Caldas 3 Years is made from fine cane honey, distilled with the purest waters from the nearby mountains, in this particular region 68 natural spring waters are born of extreme purity from the Nevado del Ruiz volcano; through a very delicate process that also includes aging in Colombian oak barrels at more than 2,200 meters above sea level, for 3 years, giving it unique characteristics. Founded in 1928 in Colombia, Ron Viejo de Caldas is highly appreciated throughout South America. The difference with other rums is that Industria Licorera de Caldas rums are naturally aged in Colombian oak barrels.
TASTING
View: Amber color.
Nose: Fine bouquet, sweet caramel and fruity aroma with wood notes.
Mouth: Excellent balance and smoothness, persistent and round flavor with a light touch of sweetness and notes of ginger, orange peel, caramel, almonds and vanilla. Slightly spicy finish with wood notes.
