In Rivière du Mât XO rum all the knowledge of the cellar master, combined with the volcanic terrain of the cane fields, is revealed. This is a subtle blend of ancient rums of great finesse selected from the greatest Cuvées aged in the Saint-Louis winery southwest of Reunion Island. Description

PREPARATION

Rivière du Mât XO is made in Saint-Louis, on the tropical coast southwest of Réunion Island, "the leeward coast." Adopting the dynamic aging of cognac methods (a blend of rums of different ages aged in new and old barrels), Rivière du Mât offers an original aromatic palette that gives its old rums beautiful structure and complexity. They use open fermentation vats in the distillery to provide the perfect conditions for aroma development. After fermentation, a "selective distillation" is carried out in order to separate the different aromas with precision and finesse at each stage of the distillation process. It is by working masterfully in the multi-plate distillation column where the team of distillers models the aromatic profile of each of their rums.

Nose:
Aromas of dried and macerated fruits, with subtle woody tones and Havana cigars.

 

Mouth:
Intense combination of cooked fruits and spices. Intense aromatic finish with an ideal structure.
