Description
PREPARATION
Naga rum is produced in the northern part of the island of Java. For its preparation, local ingredients are used such as native sugar cane, from which molasses and yeast are used, through an ancient Asian distillation process. The slow fermentation is enhanced by the addition of malted Javanese red rice yeast. This rum is a blend of distillates: 52% in "Old Stills Indonesian Pot" at 65 degrees and 48% in 92 proof columns. Finally, it is aged in Jatti (teak) barrels, a local exotic wood, and then in bourbon barrels. It takes its name from a mythical creature from Asia, the serpent guardian of the treasures of the earth and symbol of prosperity, fertility and protector of nature.
TASTING
View: Honey color with reddish reflections.
Nose: Spicy aromas with notes of nutmeg, cloves and cocoa.
Mouth: Soft and sweet, vanilla, with a personality marked by notes of different spices thanks to the origin of the wood of its barrels.
