PREPARATION

Botran Reserva 15 Years is a mixture of rums matured for 5 to 15 years, obtained from concentrated sugar cane juice subjected to slow fermentation. It is aged using the Soleras system in the mountains of Guatemala, where altitude and low temperatures restrict evaporation so the rum can adopt its very individual palate profiles. Its aging takes place in medium-toasted American white oak barrels that were previously used to age whiskey and barrels that previously aged Sherry and Port wines, to obtain a dry rum with true dynamism, complex, elegant, full and deep, which combines the natural character of the distillate from the volcanic lands of Guatemala with the richness provided by the nuances of patient aging.

TASTING

View: Polished mahogany color with flashes of light, dense, with deep tears.

Nose: Complex and expressive with notes of toasted wood, vanilla, ripe fruits, orange peel, nuts, spicy aromas and caramel.

Mouth: Seductive, dry and explosive, with notes of ripe fruits, orange and spices, balanced with touches of wood. With a long, robust and mature finish that remains in the mouth with notes of wood and spices.
