PREPARATION

The Botran Añejo 12 Years Rum is a mixture of rums matured for 5 to 12 years, obtained from concentrated sugar cane juice subjected to slow fermentation. It is aged using the Soleras system in the mountains of Guatemala, in medium-toasted American white oak barrels that were previously used to age whiskey and barrels that previously aged sherry wines.
Guatemalan rums are distinguished by their unique aging process at high altitudes. This altitude and low temperatures restrict evaporation so the rum can adopt its very individual palate profiles. Making rum at high altitude is a unique art that has been carefully preserved and enriched over the years.

Nose:
Captivating. Abundant notes of vanilla, dried fruits, tropical fruits and toasted wood.

Mouth:
Soft, pleasant and delicate in the mouth with notes of wood and fruit. Balanced and harmonious, with a long and persistent journey.
