PREPARATION

The Barceló White Aged Rum is aged for up to two years in white American oak barrels, resulting in a bright and crystalline rum, achieved after being filtered through a sophisticated system through charcoal, which maintains all the nuances of careful aging but which at the same time is softer and in which citrus and fresh notes are distinguished. Barceló rum had its origin in 1929, when Julián Barceló arrived in the Dominican Republic with the purpose of making a rum that will go down in history as the best in the world, and it was just a year later, in 1930, when he founded Barceló & Co. In 2016 Ron Barceló becomes the first rum in the world certified as Carbon Neutral, the first distillate and rum in the world to be part of the UN Climate Change initiative, Climate Neutral Now.

TASTING

Nose: Perfume of green bananas and white pepper.

Mouth: Soft and smooth entry evokes a dry palate, and so with flavors of sweet, green banana, cinnamon and pink pepper.
