PREPARATION

Bacardi kept a big secret. On the one hand, it marketed the white variety of its drink and was carving out a well-deserved niche in the market. On the other hand, he made a delicious concoction at home that was only available to those closest to him: Bacardí Elixir, a distillate made from toasted sugar cane, the secret of this spirit, which was not registered in Cuba until 1927, and which began to be marketed on the island in 1960, from where it went to places like Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States. To make Bacardi Elixir, the master rum makers taste the rum and select the blends to obtain a result with the best balance and delicacy, and they also make sure that each drop is faithful to the original rum.

TASTING

View: Light toasted brown color, clean with shine.

Nose: Pleasant aromas of toasted cane sugar, vanilla and caramel, with notes of licorice and very sweet coffee.

Mouth: Of medium intensity, it leaves a sweet and soft sensation of banana, nuts and plums, it stands out for its sweetness, with notes of burnt caramel, toasted rum, licorice and coffee appearing in an integrated way. The finish is fresh and generous and reminiscent of caramel, coffee cream and honey rum.
