Awards and recognitions: Rincón de la Subbética is the most awarded EVOO and the best organic in the history of Spain, it has 46 awards in 2021, more than 250 awards in the last 5 years and 590 awards since 2004. PREPARATION

Olive Variety: Hojiblanca.

The olives used in the production of Rincón de la Subbética olive oil come from centuries-old mountain olive trees within the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park. Specifically in the municipality of Carcabuey, Priego de Córdoba and other surrounding municipalities. And they are carefully selected for the production of this very special oil. Olive harvesting is manual and mechanical. And once collected, not even an hour passes from when they arrive at the oil mill and are crushed. This process is followed by blending and centrifuging to obtain the intense green juice. And finally it is filtered and stored in aluminum tanks and then bottled. Almazaras de la Subbética is located in the Sierras Subbética Natural Park, a protected cultivation area declared of environmental interest, and they take care of the olive tree cultivation process from the beginning, with sustainable techniques for the environment that protect the biodiversity and landscape richness of the environment.

TASTING

Nose: Very intense green fruity. A multitude of nuances show its great complexity. Fruity and citrus reminiscences. Herbaceous, thyme and mint sensations. Vegetable notes such as tomato bush.

 

Mouth: In the mouth it is sweet, green almond, bitter and spicy with medium intensity. Perfectly structured oil, long, persistent and oblivious to the taster's indifference. It is a balanced, complex and harmonious oil.
