Description
PREPARATION
The production of Plymouth Gin is carried out following the original recipe dating back to 1793, it is distilled in a copper still from pure grain alcohol and production is carried out in small batches to ensure maximum quality. It is a gin with earthy notes, where you can appreciate the freshness of juniper and a light citrus touch of lemon with sweet notes. In total seven botanicals are involved, among which you can find cardamom, Florence root or coriander seeds and water from Dartmoor National Park in copper stills. It is extremely soft, fresh and aromatic. The Plymouth Gin Distillery, known as Black Friars Distillery, is the oldest still operating distillery in England and the only one still present in the city of Plymouth, built on the site of a Dominican monastery dating from 1431. The building was converted into a prison and then, in 1793, a distillery, but spirits were already being produced there in 1690.
