PREPARATION

The Old Pulteney 12 Year Old Whiskey is made in the traditional way with malt from the main suppliers in the United Kingdom, which once ground and crushed is fermented in the 7 stainless steel laundries that the distillery has to later distill it in its stills of unusual shape, with particularly large boiling balls, which create a more fragrant whiskey character. Its maturation process takes place for 12 years in hand-selected, air-dried ex-bourbon oak barrels, providing a strong influence of acquired sweetness that helps balance the whiskey's characteristic coastal salinity. Old Pulteney 12 Years was released in mid-2018 and is the definitive expression of the Old Pulteney family. Throughout the Pulteney Distillery's long and eventful history, the quality of its whiskey and the process by which it is made remains a source of pride. The traditional craftsmanship displayed when the distillery first opened its doors in 1826 is what continues to characterize Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whiskey almost two centuries later.

TASTING

View: Intense amber color with a copper shine.

Nose: Medium-high intensity with a salty touch of sea air.

Mouth: Dry, medium-bodied and smooth. Slightly salty with faint notes of spice, honey and cream. It has a sweet and long-lasting finish.
