Meukow 90 70cl.

Meukow 90 70cl.

Meukow 90 is a cognac created by one of the few Russian cognac brands in the Charente region. While this is a great cognac to enjoy neat or on the rocks, it is also perfect for a long drink with ginger ale. Presented in Meukow's classic rounded bottle with a panther motif swooping across the glass, this edition is matte black with a clear glass panther that reveals the bronze-colored liquid inside. Due to its distinctive design, the brand is sometimes referred to as the "jaguar spirit."

Description

PREPARATION

Although Meukow 90 cognac is technically classified as a VS blend, it has been aged for longer. After double distillation of the wine, the spirits are carefully selected and then aged in oak barrels for at least two years. These spirits come from the six different regions that make up AOC cognac (French Protected Designation of Origin): Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bons Bois, Fins Bois, Borderies and Bois Ordinaires. The Cellar Master rigorously monitors the aging of the cognac in the dark and humid environment of the cellars. The experience of the Cellar Master is fully revealed at the moment of mixing different spirits of different ages to obtain a harmonious and aromatic nectar. To ensure Meukow's inimitable style, Anne Sarteaux mainly uses Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne Cognacs, which stand out for the rich complexity of their floral notes, as well as Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Borderies, which provide fruity aromas and woody qualities that provide a perfect balance to the blend.

TASTING

View: Golden color with copper reflections.

Nose: Full of citrus notes, reminiscent of an orange liqueur, followed by some dark berries.

Mouth: Rich in anise and spicy on the palate with abundant wood tannins. The finish is smooth and rounded.
