Malleolus 2020 is a wine for aging that is made from grapes from old hawthorns and its vintage has been considered an extraordinary vintage by the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
The Malleolus 2020 wine is made from grapes from a selection of the winery's oldest vineyards, old hawthorns between 25 and 75 years old that retain all their essence and that were rescued by the Moro family from the massive uprooting that occurred in Pesquera del Duero last century. This gives it exceptional power and character. An excellent vintage, since the 2020 vintage has been considered an extraordinary vintage by the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. Maceration with the skins for 18 days and carries out alcoholic and malolactic fermentations (the latter for 30 days) in stainless steel tanks. Aging in French oak barrels.
TASTING
View:
Very covered cherry red color.
Nose:
Intense with a fruity base with aromas typical of Tempranillo and spicy notes.
Mouth:
Voluminous, with ripe and silky tannin. The aftertaste is long and very persistent. Recommended temperature: serve between 14 and 16ºC.
