Macán Clásico is a wine attached to the territory, to the Rioja of Sonserrana that, from the foothills of the Cantabria mountain range, accumulates centuries of tradition, knowledge and wine culture. It manifests the freshness, fruitiness, liveliness and delicacy of the terroir, providing depth and complexity. Behind this wine there is, since 2004, an intense work of selection, acquisition and care of 100 hectares of vineyards and, since 2009 (first vintage marketed), commendable work in the winery. Furthermore, since 2016, the joint project of Tempos Vega Sicilia and the Barón Edmond de Rothschild Wine Company within the DOCa Rioja has owned modern facilities where innovation, technology and enoscience converge. Macán Clásico offers a happier, more vibrant, more digestive, but at the same time fun expression. This wine is currently suitable for drinking, but has a cellaring potential of 10-15 years if kept in optimal conditions: 12-14 ºC / 54-57 ºF and 60% relative humidity. Prizes and scores:

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
The harvest was especially hard due to the Covid-19 pandemic, although, according to the winery, the vineyard enjoyed "the fruitiness of the grapes and more elegant skins." Elaboration marked in this vintage by a somewhat more intense push of extraction. Fermentation in stainless steel with 25% indigenous yeasts. Aging in which something more was given The harvest was carried out manually in 12 kilogram boxes, from September 13 to 30. of weight to especially American oak in order to give the wine more density.
TASTING
View:
Cherry tones, with a violet edge.
Nose:
Complex, where aromas of red fruit stand out, along with floral and spicy notes, and oak.
Mouth:
Tasty, with good fruit and acidity. With a long step and finish. Recommended temperature: 18 ºC.
