Winemaking

The production of the Lefort Whiskey combines the technical rigor of French distillation with the winemaking tradition of the Charente region, under the direction of the Les Bienheureux.

It is based on a rigorous selection of 100% French cereals from the New Aquitaine region, with a special role for malted barley. The components of this blend come from the distillation processes carried out at the Distillery Bercloux, using traditional methods that seek to preserve the purity and primary aromas of the grain. class="ng-star-inserted">As it is a blended whiskey (blended), the cellar masters combine different batches of grain distillates to ensure a round, accessible consistency with a marked gastronomic identity.

The most determining feature of its maturation is its passage through oak barrels that previously contained Cognac. This finish (finish) in barrels from the region provides a distinctive softness to the tannins, integrating notes of pastry, sweet spices and dried fruits. The water used to reduce the alcoholic level comes from pure local sources, adjusting the final product to 42% Vol. to balance the power in the mouth with the finesse of its aromas.
