La Montesa Crianza 2020 is a red wine with D.O. Rioja and organic, aged for 12 months in oak barrels made by Bodegas Palacio Remondo. La Montesa is born from a vintage rated Excellent, and is sourced from old, organic Grenache vines. Álvaro Palacios is committed to respecting the terroir and the vineyard and this wine reflects all the characteristics of its place of origin, the slopes of Monte Yerga, Alfaro. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 95% Garnacha, 5% others.
To make the La Montesa Crianza 2020 wine, a manual harvest was carried out with destemming and crushing of the grapes. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel vats with pumping over, using native yeasts. Maceration for approximately 35 days. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Clarified bottling, without cold stabilization and without filtering, so it may contain sediments and it is advisable to decant.
TASTING
View:
Intense garnet red color. Clean and bright.
Nose:
A lot of ripe fruit can be seen. Red fruits such as strawberries or raspberries and some hints of currants or blueberries. Presence of toast with hints of herbs.
Mouth:
Pleasant and velvety, with a lot of fruit and some hints of species. Long and tasty finish.
