PREPARATION

Glenfiddich 26 Years matures for 26 years carefully in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. This is a vibrant yet soft and delicate expression, with a deep and complex balance of sweetness and dry oak tannin. Destined to excite the palate and awaken the nose. Each hand-made barrel breathes pure highland air for 26 years through a porous and unique grain of American oak, “Quercus Alba”, more than 70 years old. Recognized for its exceptional quality, the wood softens the drink and provides layers of subtle flavors such as spice and vanilla that build more complexly over time. Once the barrels are assembled, each one is toasted over direct heat. Toasting allows the vanilla and tannins to be released into the wood, thus providing the characteristic flavor and color. A light roast provides subtle flavors while a deep roast provides strong, deep flavors and a darker color than malt.

Nose:
Soft and delicate with a beautiful floral character. Explosion of spring, violets, sweet peas and subtle green leaves.

Mouth:
Bright and with an irresistible balance of dry tannins and a sweetness of vanilla and brown sugar. Little by little, a deep barrel flavor emerges with hints of spices and luminous licorice. Deep and complex finish.
