Single Malt from the Highlands by the Glencadam distillery which was founded in 1825 in the town of Brechin. Known for producing elegant and fruity whiskeys, with a smooth and refined character, preserving traditional production methods and bottling many of its whiskeys without cold filtration and without coloring.

Description
PREPARATION
Glencadam 15 year old single malt whiskey has been aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. It is a “non chillfiltered” whiskey, it has not been treated with very low temperatures before bottling and its color is natural, no caramel has been added.
TASTING
View: Pale gold color.
Nose:
Herbaceous notes mixed with aromas of vanilla, citrus peels and toasted nuts.
Mouth:
Sweet and creamy with layers of almonds and panna cotta followed by notes of dried apple, nutmeg and cocoa powder. Perfectly balanced finish with a flavor reminiscent of rice pudding and soft touches of cinnamon that linger on the tongue.
Winemaking
Traditional distillation at the Glencadam distillery, with initial maturation in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Assembly of several selected barrels and finished in carefully selected Tawny Port barrels in Portugal. Bottled without filtration and without added coloring.
Tasting notes

Bright amber color with reddish reflections.
Nose:
Aromas of ripe red fruits and forest fruits. Notes of soft toffee and caramel. Hints of sweet spices, vanilla and walnut.
Mouth:
Smooth and fruity entry, with a flavor of red fruit jam and candied fruits. Notes of pastry and molasses. You can appreciate the elegant oak with sweet spices. Its finish is medium-long in which red fruits, plum and caramel persist. Hints of walnut, toasted wood and soft spices.
